A Christmas wish from the BIA Board of Trustee’s
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to offer my sincerest Christmas wishes to Maurice, our management team, staff, volunteers, funders, service users, and every member of our wider BIA family.
We are truly blessed to have such a vibrant team who take great pride in their work, and it is inspiring to witness first hand the impact this has on our community. Thank you to each and every one of you.
This year has been another truly meaningful one for BIA. Our team has continued to reach out with compassion and dedication, supporting our growing community through complex referrals, applications, welfare and health challenges, or simply by being there with a warm, welcoming smile. Thank you for the kindness, resilience, and commitment each of you brings. You make Birmingham Irish Association what it is.
We are also incredibly excited about the opening of the Irish Centre in Kings Heath, which we are proud to now call our new home. The facilities are fantastic, and our shop is now bigger and better stocked than it ever was in Digbeth. It already feels like a place our community can truly be proud of.
Our end of year Toy Appeal is once again in full swing, and we are already overwhelmed by the kindness shown. The generosity of the public is truly second to none.
May this festive season bring you all peace, joy, and moments of rest, and may 2026 be a year filled with hope, good health, and prosperity for you and your loved ones.
Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you
Joan Smith, Chair of Birmingham Irish Association
