Becoming Accredited by Investors in People

Birmingham Irish • September 28, 2021

Throughout the past few weeks, our staff have kindly been providing specific opinions on our Association practices, culture and policies to the wonderful individuals at Investors in People. Upon hearing back very recently regarding our application, we are delighted to announce that we have achieved our accreditation.

Being able to deliver outstanding bespoke care relies so heavily upon the work of our magnificent teams, therefore, knowing they are happy at Birmingham Irish Association means the world to us.

Hearing that our staff feel "empowered to say and do", that it's "the best job they ever had" and that "it's incredible here", further ignites our passion for community and kinship, and view of evolving with the outstanding individuals in our team.

As an Association, we want to thank all of our phenomenal staff members, board of trustees and supporters, as without your help, being accredited by Investors in People simply wouldn't be possible.

Investors in People is delighted to award Birmingham Irish Association, Midlands' leading charity providing support and cultural services to the Irish community, the We Invest in People, standard accreditation.

It means principles and practices around supporting people are in place and everyone understands how to use them to make work better!

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Birmingham Irish Association. Being accredited with We Invest in People is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Birmingham Irish Association in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Commenting on the award, Maurice Malone, CEO, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this wonderful news, and so proud."

We believe that the success of your organisation begins and ends with people. If we make work better for everyone, we make work better for every organisation. And if we do that, we make society stronger, healthier and happier.
