Introducing our new Dementia Care Centre at The Cotteridge Church Centre

Birmingham Irish • March 27, 2022

Throughout the past several years, we are absolutely delighted in the way our Dementia Care Project has continually grown and developed, and shaped around the ever-changing needs of our Birmingham Irish community.

Due to this, we have recently decided to move the location of our Kings Heath Dementia Centre to Cotteridge, with our weekly sessions now taking place in The Cotteridge Church every Tuesday.

To mark our very first session at Cotteridge for the group, a very special day was in store. In the morning, a wonderful arts and crafts session was led by our regular Art Therapist, where clients could create their own beautiful flag for our welcome banner. In the afternoon, delicious hot lunches were served and a brilliant singing and dancing session was had, courtesy of the fantastic Peter Collins.

It's safe to say that the entire day was filled with laughter, light and love, and we want to wholeheartedly thank both The Cotteridge Church for welcoming us, and to St Dunstan's RC Church for enabling us to deliver our sessions at their location up until this point, it truly means the world to us.
