Meet our team! BIA Minibus driver, John Mulry

Birmingham Irish • March 22, 2025

We would like to welcome to the team our Minibus driver - John Mulry 😁 ☘

“I was christened John but all my family call me Sean. Must have been an Irish thing! My Wife has been a volunteer at Birmingham Irish Association for many years and was always telling me how much she enjoys it so I decided to join her as a volunteer. I have now ended up getting a job as the minibus driver”

John Mulry

John heads out in our minibus to collect our service users in the mornings, arriving safely to one of our Dementia centres across the City. After a fun activity packed day John collects our service users from the centre making sure everyone arrives back home safely.

“John has fitted in really well and is a great asset to BIA. He is really helpful and friendly with the clients / volunteers and staff. Everyone has a great giggle when he is around telling his dad jokes. John joins in with all the activities and likes a sing song.” Sharon Toy (Dementia Centre Co – Ordinator)

John is an amazing burst of energy making sure everyone on board has a sing song along to their favourite Irish songs during the journey 🎶

Thank you for joining the team John! We are delighted to have you ☘
